Chelsea Munson

Hello, my name is Chelsea Munson. I have been a cosmetologist for over 17 years, dedicating my career to refining my skill and understanding of expert cosmetology, and helping others grow within the industry. My journey began at Capri College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where I completed 2,100 hours of cosmetology training. Since then, education has been the backbone of my success—I’ve invested countless hours and resources into furthering my own skills while also mentoring, facilitating, and training fellow stylists to build thriving careers. In 2015, my family and I moved to Sioux Falls, where we’ve spent the last 10 years raising our three amazing kids. During that time, I worked at a full-service salon and spa in downtown Sioux Falls, serving clients and growing as a stylist and educator. Now, I’m embracing an exciting new challenge—stepping out of my comfort zone to build my own salon from the ground up. Growth comes from taking risks, and this year, I’m ready to take that leap. Beyond becoming a business owner, I’m also achieving a longtime goal: completing my training to become a Redken Artist. This will allow me to bring high-quality education directly from NYC and beyond to fellow hairstylists right here in our community.
